The Book of Sirach Ch 33 v- 13 thru 14

13 Like clay in the hands of a potter, to be molded according to his pleasure, So are people in the hands of their Maker, to be dealt with as he decides. 14 As evil contrasts with good, and death with life, so are sinners in contrast with the godly.

God as the molder of clay, like the hands of a potter, is a concept that is deeply rooted in the Bible and has been used to illustrate the relationship between God and humanity over-and-over again. Just as a potter molds clay according to his own pleasure, so too does God shape and mold humanity according to His Divine Will.

One of the key aspects of God being portrayed as the potter is the idea of His sovereignty and control over His creation. Just as a potter has complete control over the clay and can shape it however he pleases, so too does God have complete control over humanity and can shape us according to His own will.

This concept may be difficult for some to accept, especially in a society that values individual autonomy and free will. However, the Bible is clear that God is the ultimate Authority and that His ways are higher than our ways. Just as the potter has the right to do whatever he pleases with the clay, so too does God have the right to do whatever He pleases with His creation.

Furthermore, the analogy of God as the potter also emphasizes the idea of God's love and care for His creation. Just as a potter takes care to mold and shape the clay into something beautiful and useful, so too does God take care to mold and shape us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.

The concept of God as the molder of clay is a powerful and comforting image that reminds us of God's sovereignty, control, and love for His creation. While it may be difficult for some to accept, ultimately we can trust in the hands of our Maker to mold us according to His divine will and purpose where one must realize that God is not evil in giving us free will but loving to our nature of right over wrong.

Evil stands in stark contrast with good, just as death contrasts with life. Sinners are often portrayed as embodying evil and death, while the godly are seen as representing good and life. Sinners are associated with darkness, destruction, and immorality, while the godly are linked with light, creation, and righteousness. The choices and actions of sinners lead to their own downfall and separation from God, while the godly strive to live in accordance with moral principles and bring positivity and life to the world around them. Ultimately, the contrast between sinners and the godly serves as a reminder of the eternal battle between good and evil, and the everlasting consequences of our choices in sin. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

04-13-2024 Sirach 33 v-1314

**God is the potter’s hand in clay**

In the hands of the Potter, we are clay

Molded and shaped in His own special way

He forms us with love and absolute care

Creating beauty from life’s certain despair

His hands are gentle, yet strong

Crafting us right where we belong

Each curve and line, perfectly placed

By the Master's hand, we are embraced

He knows our flaws and our fears

But in His hands, we have no tears

For He is the Maker, the Creator of all

Shaping us with love, never greater the call

So let us trust in His design

Knowing that His hand is divine

For in His hands, we find our worth

As He molds us from the dust of the earth

Like clay in the potter's hands

We are shaped by His commands

So let us yield to His Heavenly pleasure

And be transformed by His righteous measure. Amen.
