The Letter to the Ephesians Chapter 2 Verse 14 thru 22

14 For he is our peace, he who made both one and broke down the dividing wall of enmity, through his flesh, 15 abolishing the law with its commandments and legal claims, that he might create in himself one new person in place of the two, thus establishing peace, 16 and might reconcile both with God, in one body, through the cross, putting that enmity to death by it. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, 18 for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God, 20 built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone. 21 Through him the whole structure is held together and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord; 22 in him you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:14-22 provides a profound insight into the unity and reconciliation made possible through Jesus Christ. In these verses, Paul emphasizes that Christ Himself is our peace, breaking down the barriers that once divided humanity. Through His sacrifice, both Gentiles and Jews have been brought together into one body, creating a new community forged by love and grace. This transformative reality is not merely a historical fact but a present spiritual truth for every believer.

As followers of Christ, we are reminded that the Spirit of God dwells within us, a testament to our surrender to His will. When we yield our lives to Jesus, we receive the Holy Spirit, who guides, empowers, and equips us for His work. This divine presence within us is not just a comforting notion; it is the very source of our strength and ability to live out our faith. It compels us to embody the peace that Jesus has established, fostering unity and love within our communities.

In verses 19-22, Paul describes believers as “members of God’s household,” and as living stones being built into a spiritual house. This imagery calls us to recognize our collective identity in Christ and the importance of cultivating relationships based on His love. As we submit to His will, we become more than individuals; we are part of something greater, a vibrant community where God’s Spirit can work mightily.

Ultimately, Ephesians 2:14-22 is not just about theological concepts; it’s a call to action. It invites us to remember the divine presence residing within us and encourages us to surrender fully to His will, allowing His peace and love to flow through us. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. Ephesians 6:17-20

10-28-2025 Ephesians 2 v1422

**A Dwelling Place of God in the Spirit**

In Him, the barrier breaks apart,

In unity, He mends each heart.

The wall that once divided, now erased,

Through love and grace, our fears displaced.

From distant shores, we gather near,

In His embrace, we lose all fear.

Once strangers cast in shadows' plight,

A family formed in holy light.

The blood, the bond that brings us near,

No longer lost, no cause for fear.

A sacrifice that sets us eternally free,

A temple built for our unity.

He is our peace, the Cornerstone,

From deadened stones to live alone.

In Him, we find our rightful place,

We rise as one, in His great grace.

With every brick, His love extends,

Together, as the Body, friends.

In harmony, our voices blend,

In Christ, our labor has no end.

Through trials faced, through storms we stride,

For He, our Lord, is by our side.

In fellowship, we stand as one,

In every battle, hearts are won.

So let us build, in faith abound,

In Christ, our hope, our lives are found.

A dwelling for the Spirit's reign,

A kingdom born of love, not pain. Amen.
