1st John Chapter 3 V- 7 through 10

7 Children, let no one deceive you. The person who acts in righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 Whoever sins belongs to the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. Indeed, the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is begotten by God commits sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot sin because he is begotten by God. 10 In this way, the children of God and the children of the devil are made plain; no one who fails to act in righteousness belongs to God, nor anyone who does not love his brother.

In 1 John 3:7-10, the Apostle John emphasizes the stark contrast between the children of God and the children of the devil. He reminds us that true righteousness and love are the hallmarks of those who belong to God. However, John acknowledges the reality of sin in our lives. Despite our best intentions, we may stumble and fall. Yet, there is profound hope woven into this message: we have an Advocate in Jesus Christ, who continually offers us forgiveness.

John urges believers not to be deceived; those who practice righteousness are born of God. But he also understands that sin can still creep into our lives. The good news is that our relationship with Christ is not defined by our failures but by His grace. When we sin, we can turn to our Savior, who intercedes for us and extends mercy time and time again. His love is not conditional upon our perfection but rather is a reflection of His unending compassion.

This assurance allows us to find peace in our journey of faith. We are called to live as those who serve in sainthood, embodying the love and righteousness of Christ in our daily lives. Our identity is rooted in our relationship with Him, and while we may face temptations and failings, we are reminded that we can rise again, empowered by His Spirit.

In embracing our role as children of God, we can overcome sin and strive to live according to His purpose. So, let us celebrate the grace that forgives us and inspires us to serve, knowing that with each step, we are becoming more like Him. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

01-04-2025 1 John 3 v0710

**He Cannot Sin He is Begotten by God**

In shadows deep where darkness dwells,

The truth of light within us swells,

For children born of grace divine,

In love and righteousness, we eternally shine.

“Dear ones,” says John, “do not be led,

By whispers of the foe, in dread instead,

Embrace the call to walk the way,

Of Christ, our Advocate each and every day.”

Though sin may weave its subtle thread,

We rise again, though we have fled,

For in His arms, our hearts find peace,

In endless grace, our fears release.

The world may judge, may cast its stones,

Yet in His love, we find our homes,

No longer bound by chains of shame,

We’re called to live in Jesus’ name.

With every stumble, every fall,

He hears our cries, He knows it all,

Forgiveness flows, a river wide,

In Him, our hope and joy abide.

So let us strive, both near and far,

Reflect His light, our guiding star,

For in this truth, we find our song,

As children of God, where we truly belong. Amen.
