1 John 2 V- 18 through 23
18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that the antichrist was coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. Thus we know this is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not really of our number; if they had been, they would have remained with us. Their desertion shows that none of them was of our number. 20 But you have the anointing that comes from the holy one, and you all have knowledge. 21 I write to you not because you do not know the truth but because you do, and because every lie is alien to the truth. 22 Who is the liar? Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Whoever denies the Father and the Son, this is the antichrist. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.
In 1 John 2:18-23, the Apostle John warns believers about the presence of deceivers and antichrists, asserting that the last hour has come. The text emphasizes that those who deny Jesus as the Christ are not just mistaken; they embody the spirit of the antichrist. This stark declaration is a call to recognize the gravity of acknowledging Christ as our Savior. To lie about Jesus—His divine nature and His genuine humanity—is to deceive oneself and reject the truth that is foundational to our faith.
John reminds us that many have come and gone, claiming to offer truth while denying the essential nature of Jesus as both fully human and fully divine. This duality is crucial; it affirms the reality of His life, death, and resurrection, which are the cornerstone of our salvation. To reject this truth is to lie not only to others but, more importantly, to one’s own soul.
The passage encourages believers to remain steadfast in the truth they have received. By acknowledging Jesus, we affirm our identity as children of God, anchored in the reality of His love and redemptive work. The warning against deceit is clear: to align oneself with the antichrist is to turn away from salvation and the life-giving truth that Jesus embodies.
In a world filled with conflicting beliefs and ideologies, let us hold fast to the eyewitness truth of Christ’s incarnation. He came into the world not just as a historical figure but as our Savior, bridging the gap between humanity and divinity. Embrace this truth and reject the lies that seek to lead us astray. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
12-31-2024 1 John 2 v1823
**Whoever Confesses the Son has the Father As Well**
In the twilight of an age so near,
John speaks of shadows, whispers of fear,
Antichrists rise, cloaked in deceit,
Denying the Savior, they shuffle their feet.
The truth stands firm, a beacon so bright,
Jesus, the Christ, our guiding light,
Fully human, fully divine,
In Him, salvation’s promise we find.
Those who mislead, with hearts full of lies,
Seek to ensnare with their cunning disguise,
But hold fast the truth, let it not wane,
For in Christ’s embrace, we break every chain.
To reject the Son, the Father we slight,
In the battle for souls, we must stand and fight,
For the witness of love, the story we tell,
Is the heartbeat of hope, our eternal well.
So let us proclaim, with courage and grace,
The truth of our Savior, our rightful place,
In Him, we find life, our spirits set free,
For those who know Jesus, know truth endlessly. Amen.
