The Letter to the Romans Chapter 10 V- 5 and 13

5 Moses writes about the righteousness that comes from [the] law, “The one who does these things will live by them.” 6 But the righteousness that comes from faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will go up into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 or ‘Who will go down into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we preach), 9 for, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. 11 For the scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, enriching all who call upon him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:5-13 beautifully summarizes the essence of faith and salvation through Jesus Christ. In this passage, Paul contrasts the righteousness that comes from the Law with the righteousness that comes from faith. He emphasizes that true salvation is not about adhering to the Law but rather about a heartfelt belief in Jesus as Lord. Verses 9 and 10 highlight the dual necessity of confession and belief: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

This powerful declaration underscores the importance of acknowledging Jesus openly. Our confession with the mouth is a vital step in our walk of faith; it signifies our acceptance of Him as our Savior and Lord. It's not merely a verbal acknowledgment but a profound declaration of faith that transforms our lives. Conversely, believing in our hearts is where true conviction lies. It is a deep-seated trust in God's promises and the resurrection of Jesus, which is the cornerstone of our faith.

Paul reassures us with the profound truth that "no one who believes in Him will be put to shame." This promise is a source of immense comfort and hope for believers. It reminds us that when we place our trust in Jesus, we are secure in His love and grace, regardless of our past or present circumstances.

As you reflect on these verses, remember that salvation is accessible to all who call upon the name of the Lord. Whether you are a new believer or have walked with Christ for years, the invitation remains: confess with your mouth and believe in your heart. Embrace the assurance that comes from trusting in Jesus, for in Him, we find true hope and eternal life. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

11-30-2024 Romans 10 v0513

**No one who believes in Him will be put to Shame**

In the heart of Scripture, a truth shines bright,

Romans ten speaks of faith’s guiding light.

Moses once spoke of a law to obey,

But grace through belief is the true, narrow way.

With a mouth that confesses, and a heart that believes,

In Jesus, our Savior, our spirit receives.

For the words that we utter, in faith’s gentle grace,

Declare Him as Lord, in His warm embrace.

If you seek for redemption, if you long to be free,

Lift your voice to the heavens, let your heart agree.

For the promise is clear, no shame will you find,

In the arms of the Savior, our worries unwind.

Whosoever may call, from the depths of despair,

Will find hope in His name, and know that He’s there.

From the mountains to valleys, His love knows no bounds,

In the echoes of faith, His mercy resounds.

So believe in the heart, and confess with your tongue,

In the chorus of grace, let our praises be sung.

For salvation is offered, a gift to us all,

In the name of Jesus, we rise to His call.

No longer in darkness, we walk in His light,

With faith as our anchor, we’ll soar to new heights.

So let us declare, with hearts open wide,

Jesus, our Savior, forever our guide. Amen.
