The Letter to the Colossians Chapter 2 Verse 4 thru 10

4 I say this so that no one may deceive you by specious arguments. 5 For even if I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing as I observe your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ. 6 So, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him, 7 rooted in him and built upon him and established in the faith as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. 8 See to it that no one captivate you with an empty, seductive philosophy according to human tradition, according to the elemental powers of the world and not according to Christ. 9 For in him dwells the whole fullness of the deity bodily, 10 and you share in this fullness in him, who is the head of every principality and power.

In Colossians 2:4-10, the Apostle Paul warns the believers to be vigilant against deception that could lead them away from the truth of Christ. He emphasizes that while enticing arguments and philosophies may arise, they are often rooted in human wisdom rather than divine revelation. Paul reassures the faithful that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ alone. This profound truth serves as an anchor amid a world overflowing with misleading narratives and superficial ideologies.

In today's media-saturated environment, it is easy to become entangled in the web of conflicting messages and misinformation. Social platforms and news outlets often promote perspectives that may sound appealing but diverge from the eternal truths of Scripture. The allure of these narratives can lead us to forget our identity and purpose in Christ. Therefore, it is essential to align our focus with the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God (Colossians 3:1).

By grounding ourselves in the Word of God and seeking his wisdom in prayer, we can discern truth from falsehood. The lies propagated by the world can create distractions that divert our attention from the promises of God. Remember, we are rooted and built up in Christ; He is the fullness of the Godhead and our ultimate source of strength and guidance.

As we navigate the complexities of life, let us be steadfast in faith, holding fast to the hope we have in Him. Let us not be swayed by the fleeting wisdom of the world but be transformed by the eternal truth found in our Savior. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

I am a poet obedient to Christ,

**You Share in This Fullness With Him**

In shadows cast by wisdom's guise,

Where worldly whispers often rise,

Be cautious, child, let truth prevail,

For hollow tales may lead to fail.

Temptations come with crafty tone,

Yet in our hearts, we’re never alone,

For Christ the treasure, vast and deep,

In Him, our souls shall safely keep.

With faith entwined, we stand upright,

In Him, we find our guiding light,

Philosophies, like fleeting mist,

Can’t touch the truth that can’t be missed.

Embrace the wisdom from above,

A gift of grace, our Savior’s love,

In Christ, we’re rooted, built so strong,

His fullness makes our spirits long.

So lift your gaze to realms of grace,

Where Christ abides, we find our place,

Against the lies that seek to blind,

In Him, our hearts forever find. Amen.
