The Letter to the Hebrews 9 V- 22 and 28
22 According to the law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. 23 Therefore, it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified by these rites, but the heavenly things themselves by better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter into a sanctuary made by hands, a copy of the true one, but heaven itself, that he might now appear before God on our behalf. 25 Not that he might offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters each year into the sanctuary with blood that is not his own; 26 if that were so, he would have had to suffer repeatedly from the foundation of the world. But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages to take away sin by his sacrifice. 27 Just as it is appointed that human beings die once, and after this the judgment, 28 so also Christ, offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to take away sin but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await him.
Hebrews 9:22-28 emphasizes the profound significance of Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection in the context of redemption and salvation. The passage asserts that "without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness" (Hebrews 9:22), highlighting the necessity of sacrifice for atonement. In the Old Testament, animal sacrifices were a temporary measure, foreshadowing the ultimate sacrifice that would come through Jesus Christ. Unlike these temporary solutions, Jesus' death was once for all, providing a complete and final atonement for humanity's sins.
The historical reality of Jesus' death and resurrection is central to Christian faith. Eyewitness accounts documented in the New Testament serve as strong evidence of these events. After His crucifixion, Jesus rose from the dead, appearing to numerous individuals and groups, including His disciples, who were transformed by the experience. Their testimonies not only affirm the resurrection but also demonstrate the transformative power of encountering the risen Christ. No other human being has claimed to conquer death in such a definitive manner, thus setting Jesus apart.
The resurrection is not merely a religious myth but is supported by historical evidence and eyewitness testimony. Early Christians faced persecution and even martyrdom for proclaiming the resurrection, underlining their conviction in the truth of their experiences. This willingness to suffer and die for their faith adds weight to their claims, contrasting sharply with myths that lack a foundation in real events.
In conclusion, Hebrews 9:22-28 encapsulates the essence of Christ’s redemptive work, emphasizing that His death and resurrection are not just theological concepts but historical realities that provide believers with hope and assurance of eternal life. This truth stands resilient against skepticism, affirming that Jesus Christ's victory over death is unparalleled in human history. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Without Shedding of Blood There is No Forgiveness**
In shadows cast by ancient rites,
Where blood was spilled on sacred nights,
A promise whispered through the years,
Of hope beyond our doubts and fears.
Without the blood, no sins forgiven,
Yet here comes grace, a gift from Heaven.
A Lamb who came, pure, without stain,
To bear our guilt, to take our pain.
He died for all, a single breath,
Conqueror of sin, and even death.
The veil was torn, the price was paid,
In His last cry, our debts were laid.
Three days in darkness, the stone sealed tight,
But dawn broke forth, dispelling night.
He rose again, the tomb now bare,
With witnesses to share our eternal care.
“Look here,” they said, “He lives anew,
The Savior’s love is pure and true.”
No myth or fable, no tale of old,
But truth proclaimed, bold of bold.
For Christ will come, a second time,
In glory bright, beyond all rhyme.
Not to bear sin, but reign in grace,
Restoring all, our rightful place.
So let us hold this truth so dear,
In every heart, let it draw near.
His sacrifice, our freedom’s call,
In Him we stand, for He died once for all. Amen.
