The Gospel of Luke Chapter 1 V- 39 through 45

39 During those days Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, 40 where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, 42 cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.”

In Luke 1:39-45, we encounter a profound moment in the Gospel narrative that highlights Mary’s role as the Mother of God and her significance in the life of the Church. This passage describes Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth, who was pregnant with John the Baptist. Upon hearing Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in Elizabeth’s womb, and she was filled with the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth’s declaration, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb,” acknowledges Mary’s unique and exalted position, affirming her as the bearer of the Messiah.

This encounter not only showcases the sanctity of Mary but also illustrates the deep connection between mothers and their children, especially in the context of divine purpose. As Mary carries Jesus, the very embodiment of grace and truth, her intercession becomes a vital part of our spiritual lives. This is where the tradition of praying the Holy Rosary finds its roots. The Rosary is a powerful meditation on the life of Christ, with Mary as our guide. Each Hail Mary we pray echoes Elizabeth’s words, inviting us to seek Mary’s intercession as we journey in faith.

By asking for Mary's intercession, we acknowledge her role as the Mother of God and our spiritual mother. She not only brings us closer to her Son but also teaches us the importance of humility, service, and love. As we recite the Rosary, let us remember that it is a means of deepening our relationship with Jesus through Mary, who exemplifies the virtues of faith and devotion. In this way, the passage from Luke serves as a reminder of Mary’s essential duties and her everlasting influence in our spiritual lives. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

12-21-2024 Luke 1 v3945

**Blessed Are You Among Women**

In haste, she traveled through the hills,

A heart aflame, with joy that thrills,

To greet her cousin, blessed and true,

For in her womb, the Savior grew.

Elizabeth, with spirit bright,

Felt the leap of joy, pure delight,

As Mary entered, grace in tow,

The promise of God began to flow.

"Blessed are you among all women here,

And blessed the fruit that draws us near,"

A moment sacred, hearts entwined,

In love and faith, their souls aligned.

The Holy Spirit filled the air,

With whispered blessings, fervent prayer,

Two mothers bound by heaven's call,

Their children destined to redeem us all.

O Mary, Mother, full of grace,

In you, we find a warm embrace,

Your intercession, a guiding light,

Leading us through the darkest night.

In every Hail Mary, we seek your aid,

With hopes and dreams, our fears laid,

For in your heart, our prayers arise,

To the Son you bore, beyond the skies.

So let us cherish this holy scene,

Of love profound and faith serene,

In the echo of your voice, we eternally see,

The bond of grace in unity. Amen.
