The Gospel of Luke Chapter 12 v- 39 thru 43
39 “Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour when the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40 You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.” 41 Then Peter said, “Lord, is this parable meant for us or for everyone?” 42 And the Lord replied, “Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute [the] food allowance at the proper time? 43 Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds doing so.”
In Luke 12:39-43, Jesus emphasizes the importance of vigilance and readiness, using the metaphor of a thief coming in the night to illustrate the unexpectedness of His return. He calls upon His followers to be like faithful servants, always prepared for their master’s arrival, as their readiness determines their reward. This passage serves as a emotional reminder of our spiritual responsibilities and the virtues we cultivate in our daily lives.
Saint Mother Teresa’s profound statement encapsulates a beautiful progression that aligns with the essence of Jesus' teachings. "The fruit of silence is prayer; the fruit of prayer is faith; the fruit of faith is love; the fruit of love is service; the fruit of service is peace." Each step in this progression highlights the transformative journey of the soul. Silence allows us to listen to God, fostering a deep, personal prayer life. This prayer nurtures our faith, enabling us to trust in God’s plan and to be always spiritually ready for His return.
As our faith deepens, we experience a profound love for God and others, which naturally leads us to serve those in need. This service, rooted in love, becomes a living expression of our faith and a testament to our readiness as faithful servants. Ultimately, such service cultivates a sense of peace—not just within ourselves but in the wider community.
In a world often filled with chaos, the call to remain vigilant and prepared resonates deeply. By embracing the cycle outlined by Mother Teresa, we can live out the teachings of Jesus in Luke 12:39-43, embodying faithfulness, love, and service that leads to true peace. Thus, we are encouraged to remain ever watchful and ready, nurturing our hearts in silence, prayer, and love. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**You Must Be Prepared**
In shadows deep, the night does fall,
A call to hearts, to one and all.
A thief may come, so swift, so sly,
Yet faithful souls shall never deny.
With lanterns bright, we stand in grace,
Prepared to meet our Master’s face.
In every moment, hearts awake,
For love and service, we shall make.
When silence blooms, our spirits rise,
In whispered prayers, we seek the skies.
From prayer flows faith, a steady stream,
In love's embrace, we find our dream.
With hands outstretched, we serve the meek,
In every act, His truth we speak.
For when we love, the world finds peace,
In service given, our joys increase.
So let us be, like watchful eyes,
In every dawn, where hope replies.
For in this waiting, grace is found,
In faithful hearts, His love unbound.
Awake, arise, our spirits soar,
For in His presence, we seek Him evermore.
In every moment, come what may,
We stand in faith where we love to pray. Amen.
