The Book of Psalms Chapter 27 v- 7 thru 14

7 Hear my voice, LORD, when I call; have mercy on me and answer me. 8 “Come,” says my heart, “seek his face”; your face, LORD, do I seek! 9 Do not hide your face from me; do not repel your servant in anger. You are my Salvation; do not cast me off; do not forsake me, God my savior! 10 Even if my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will take me in. 11 LORD, show me your way; lead me on a level path because of my enemies. 12 Do not abandon me to the desire of my foes; malicious and lying witnesses have risen against me. 13 I believe I shall see the LORD’s goodness in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD, take courage; be stouthearted, wait for the LORD!

The imagery of a forsaken child resonates deeply, as the psalmist recognizes that even in moments of abandonment, God's faithfulness remains steadfast. The prayer for protection against adversaries in verse 12 reinforces the theme of reliance on divine intervention during trials.

Finally, verse 14 concludes with a call to wait for the Lord, urging patience and courage. This encapsulates the essence of faith: an active waiting, trusting in God's timing and goodness. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Wait for the Lord**

O Lord, I cry, my heart laid bare,

In the depths of night, I seek Your care.

Hear my voice, gracious and near,

In this moment, banish my fear.

You call me close, to seek Your face,

In Your presence, I find my place.

Though the world may turn away,

In Your arms, I long to stay.

When my daughter and son forsake,

You, O Lord, my spirit awake.

With enemies lurking, my path they tread,

Guide my steps, let not my heart dread.

In the shelter of Your holy light,

You shield me from the darkest night.

Teach me Your ways, O Lord, I pray,

Lead me on this righteous way.

Though trials rage and storms may blow,

I’ll trust in You; my faith will grow.

I wait for You, my heart so bold,

In Your promise, my hope unfolds.

Be strong, take heart, the psalmist calls,

In waiting, faith through shadows falls.

For in Your love, I find my song,

With You, O Lord, I will eternally belong. Amen.
