The Book of Acts Chapter 4 Verses 15 thru 21
15 So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin, and conferred with one another, saying, 16 “What are we to do with these men? Everyone living in Jerusalem knows that a remarkable sign was done through them, and we cannot deny it.17 But so that it may not be spread any further among the people, let us give them a stern warning never again to speak to anyone in this name.” 18 So they called them back and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 Peter and John, however, said to them in reply, “Whether it is right in the sight of God for us to obey you rather than God, you be the judges. 20 It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.” 21 After threatening them further, they released them, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people who were all praising God for what had happened.
In Acts 4:15-21, we witness an extraordinary moment in the early church, where Peter and John, having boldly proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus, find themselves standing before the Jewish council. Faced with pressure to remain silent about their faith, they respond with unwavering conviction. Peter's declaration, "It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard," encapsulates the essence of a life surrendered to the Will of God.
When we surrender our lives to God's purpose, we gain an understanding that transcends mere obligation; we are compelled by an earnest desire to share our experiences of His grace and truth. Peter and John, having been transformed by their encounters with Christ, cannot contain their testimony. Their time with Jesus, the miracles they witnessed, and the hope of His resurrection have ignited a fire within them that is impossible to extinguish.
This passage serves as a powerful reminder for us all. Once we align ourselves with God's Will, the things that once seemed daunting—like public testimony or sharing our faith—become not just our duty, but a joyful necessity. The Holy Spirit empowers us, enabling a confidence that allows us to speak freely about our experiences with God. It is a declaration that flows from a heart that understands the depth of God’s love and grace.
In this world, where silence can often drown out the truth, we are called to be bold witnesses—just as Peter and John were. They faced opposition but chose faithfulness over fear. Likewise, when we surrender to God’s Will, we too find that sharing His goodness is simply what we must do. As we embrace this, our voices become instruments of hope, proclaiming the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen. Day six Pope Francis

**Voices Bold: Right in the sight of God**
In a hall of shadows, high and proud,
The council gathered, fierce and loud,
They questioned Peter, John by his side,
"Speak no more of Him, let silence abide.”
But emboldened hearts, aflame with grace,
Met the challenge with a steadfast face,
“We cannot hold back, the truth we’ve seen,
The risen Savior, our hearts pristine.”
Through trials and threats, their spirits soared,
With every word, their faith restored,
“The signs and wonders, they bear His mark,
In our very souls, He’s lit the spark.”
Obedience to God, their guiding light,
Against the odds, they stood to fight,
For in surrender, they found their voice,
In the face of danger, they made their eternal choice.
So let us be bold, like Peter and John,
Proclaiming His love in every dawn,
For once you’ve tasted grace divine,
It’s impossible, dear friends, to avoid the time. Amen.
