The Gospel of John Chapter 15 Verses One thru Nine

1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. 2 He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and every one that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit. 3 You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. 4 Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. 6 Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. 8 By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples. 9 As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.”

In John 15:1-9, Jesus presents Himself as the true vine, emphasizing the profound connection between Himself and His followers. He states, "I am the vine; you are the branches," illustrating that our spiritual vitality depends on our relationship with Him. The act of surrendering to Jesus—our Vine of Truth—occurs at the moment we accept His sacrificial love, exemplified by His death on the cross for our sins. This pivotal decision marks the beginning of our transformation and the pruning process.

Pruning may seem harsh, but it is an essential part of spiritual growth. God, as the divine gardener, lovingly removes what hinders our ability to bear fruit. He prunes our weaknesses, insecurities, and sinful tendencies, cultivating within us a heart that reflects His love and grace. When we surrender to the Vine, we are not just forgiven; we are renewed and set on a path of purposeful living.

In this intimate relationship, Jesus encourages us to remain in Him. Abiding in Christ means staying anchored in His truth, continually seeking His presence through prayer, scripture, and fellowship. As we remain connected to the vine, His life-giving energy flows through us, empowering us to produce fruit that brings glory to God. We are reminded that our ability to bear fruit is not of our own doing but stems from our relationship with Him.

As we navigate life’s challenges and uncertainties, let us hold fast to the promise that if we abide in Him, He will abide in us. This divine connection assures us of His strength and guidance in all circumstances. Embrace His love, and let Him cultivate the beautiful fruit of the Spirit in your life. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Johnny Day seven. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

05-21-25 John 15 v0109

**Remain In My Love**

In the garden where life intertwines,

A true vine stands, pure and divine,

“I am the vine,” whispers the Son,

In Him we flourish, as branches we run.

Surrender our hearts, let the Spirit flow,

Cleansed by the cross, from sin’s heavy woe,

Pruned by His hand, we rise anew,

In love’s gentle care, our strength He imbues.

Remain in Me, the call resounds,

In the sacred bond, true life abounds,

As branches connected, we find our way,

Bearing fruit of love, in His light we stay.

Through trials and storms, our hearts may sway,

Yet rooted in grace, we’ll not fall away,

With every petition, our spirits ignite,

In communion with Him, we shine ever bright.

So let us rejoice, in His presence reside,

For in Him we live, our faithful Guide,

In the vine of truth, His promise stands true,

As we abide in Him, He abides in you. Amen.
