The 2nd Letter to the Corinthians 11 Verses 1 thru 15

1 If only you would put up with a little foolishness from me! Please put up with me. 2 For I am jealous of you with the jealousy of God, since I betrothed you to one husband to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts may be corrupted from a sincere [and pure] commitment to Christ.4 For if someone comes and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it well enough. 5 For I think that I am not in any way inferior to these “superapostles.” 6 Even if I am untrained in speaking, I am not so in knowledge; in every way we have made this plain to you in all things. 7 Did I make a mistake when I humbled myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you without charge? 8 I plundered other churches by accepting from them in order to minister to you. 9 And when I was with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. So I refrained and will refrain from burdening you in any way. 10 By the truth of Christ in me, this boast of mine shall not be silenced in the regions of Achaia. 11 And why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do! 12 And what I do I will continue to do, in order to end this pretext of those who seek a pretext for being regarded as we are in the mission of which they boast. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, who masquerade as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. 15 So it is not strange that his ministers also masquerade as ministers of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

In 2 Corinthians 11:1-15, the Apostle Paul passionately addresses the Corinthians about the dangers of false apostles and the corruption of the gospel. He expresses a deep concern for their spiritual welfare, likening his relationship with them to that of a bridegroom to his bride. Paul fears that they might be led astray from the pure devotion to Christ, just as Eve was deceived by the serpent. He warns of those who present a different Jesus or a distorted gospel, urging the believers to remain steadfast in the faith.

This passage serves as a poignant reminder that the foundational truths of the Church have often been obscured by the schisms and divisions that arise in the world. Throughout history, various doctrines, ideologies, and traditions have crept into the Church, causing confusion and leading believers away from the simplicity of the gospel. These distortions can manifest as legalism, emotionalism, or the pursuit of power, each pulling the faithful in disparate directions, much like the false apostles Paul warns against.

As we reflect on this scriptural admonition, we are called to examine our own lives and the teachings we accept. Are we adhering to the core message of Christ, or have we allowed human interpretations and cultural influences to skew our understanding? In a world rife with division, it is crucial to cultivate unity in Christ and to prioritize the central tenets of our faith. Let us remain vigilant and discerning, fostering hearts devoted to the true gospel. By doing so, we honor the foundation laid by Christ and the apostles, resisting the allure of distortion that leads to spiritual ruin. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

06-19-25 2 Corinthians 11 v0115

**Their End Will Correspond to Their Deeds**

In whispers soft, I seek your heart,

O Corinthians, my beloved part.

With tender care, I present this plea,

To guard the truth, stay close to me.

Beware the serpent’s cunning guise,

A different gospel hides in lies.

What seems so sweet may bring you woe,

The path to life can become a show.

For some among you wear a mask,

As false apostles, they would bask.

Their words like honey, sweetly flow,

Yet underneath, deception grows.

Remember Eve in paradise,

Led astray by flattery, so nice.

Your pure devotion can be swayed,

By those who twist the truth they've played.

The gifts you have should not be sold,

For silver tongues, their offers bold.

But grace is free, through faith it flows,

The love of Christ is all you need to know.

In strength and weakness, I stand tall,

Through trials faced, I heed the call.

For my concern, it stems from love,

To keep you true, guided from above.

So stand firm in what you’ve learned,

Through love and light, your hearts will yearn.

In unity, let faith abide,

For in the truth, we all can reside. Amen.
