The Book of Genesis Chapter 9 V- 8 and 17

8 God said to Noah and to his sons with him: 9 See, I am now establishing my covenant with you and your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you: the birds, the tame animals, and all the wild animals that were with you—all that came out of the ark.11 I will establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all creatures be destroyed by the waters of a flood; there shall not be another flood to devastate the earth. 12 God said: This is the sign of the covenant that I am making between me and you and every living creature with you for all ages to come: 13 I set my bow in the clouds to serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring clouds over the earth, and the bow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and every living creature—every mortal being—so that the waters will never again become a flood to destroy every mortal being. 16 When the bow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature—every mortal being that is on earth. 17 God told Noah: This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and every mortal being that is on earth.

Genesis 9:8-17 reveals a powerful covenant between God and humanity, illustrated through the symbol of the rainbow. After the great flood, God promised Noah that He would never again destroy the earth with water. The rainbow serves as a divine sign of this covenant, representing God's faithfulness and mercy. Its true meaning highlights God's relationship with His creation and His intention for human beings to thrive in accordance with His design.

In today’s culture, it’s essential to remember that the rainbow's original significance is rooted in Scripture, not in contemporary movements. The misuse of the rainbow as a symbol for the LGBTQ community distorts its biblical purpose. God created male and female and intended for them to come together in marriage, to love one another, and to procreate. This divine plan is a reflection of His order and intention for humanity.

God does not condone alterations of His design concerning gender or relationships. While He extends forgiveness and grace to all who turn to Him in repentance, it is a imperative to recognize His truth. Without repentance, individuals risk separation from God, who desires that none should perish. In His infinite love, He provides the opportunity for redemption but calls for adherence to His standards.

As we reflect on the promise of the rainbow, let us hold on to its sacred meaning as a symbol of God's covenant. We are called to uphold His truth, resisting societal pressures that seek to redefine His creation. In doing so, we embrace the fullness of life that God intended for humanity, rooted in love, truth, and righteousness. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

02-20-2025 Genesis 9 v0817

**When the Bow Appears in the Clouds**

In days of old, when waters surged,

A world was cleansed, sin’s weight emerged.

Yet from the depths, a promise came,

A covenant sealed in love’s pure name.

To Noah spoke the voice divine,

“Behold this sign, a sacred line.

No more shall floods wash earth away,

The rainbow shines, a bright array.”

Each hue a whisper from the skies,

Of mercy bound, of love that ties.

In storms we find our hearts set free,

A pledge from God, eternally.

The arc of colors, bold and bright,

A beacon in the darkest night.

With every storm that rages near,

This bow of promise calms our fear.

For in His heart, a design so clear,

Man and woman, with purpose dear.

From love they’re called to build and grow,

In holy union, life will flow.

So let us guard this truth so pure,

A sacrament guidelines set, we can be sure.

To walk in light, in grace embrace,

Reflecting God’s love, His holy space.

And as the rainbow spans the skies,

Remember well where true love lies.

A covenant kept, His mercy found,

In every heart, let truth abound.

So lift your eyes, and see the glow,

Of promises kept, through ebb and flow.

For every storm, His love will reign,

A rainbow’s hope, through joy and pain. Amen.
