The Gospel of Luke Chapter 21 V- 34 and 36
34 “Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise 35 like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. 36 Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Luke 21:34-36 offers an emotional reminder of the importance of vigilance and spiritual preparedness in our daily lives. Jesus warns us to be mindful of the distractions that can lead us astray, urging us not to let our hearts become weighed down by carousing, drunkenness, and the anxieties of life. This message resonates deeply with my personal journey over the past two decades, as my daily Scripture study has transformed my life profoundly.
Two decades ago, I found myself trapped in a cycle of excess and self-indulgence. Daily carousing and drug use clouded my judgment and left me feeling lost and disconnected. However, embracing the discipline of Scripture study changed everything for me. I call this practice "Universal Utterings," a commitment to proclaiming the truth of living redeemed through Christ.
Through the teachings of the Bible, particularly passages like Luke 21:34-36, I discovered that I could confront the daily anxieties of life with faith and hope. Instead of succumbing to the chaos around me, I learned to turn to Christ as my guide and mentor. The wisdom found in these verses encourages me to stay alert and focused, reminding me that spiritual awareness equips me to navigate life's challenges.
Today, my daily Scripture study is not just a routine; it's a lifeline that connects me to the truth of redemption. It allows me to share my journey with others, proclaiming the transformative power of faith. I am grateful for the clarity and strength that come from understanding Scripture, as it continually shapes my perspective and helps me live a life of purpose and peace. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Pray You Have the Strength to Escape the Tribulations**
In the twilight, watchful hearts must stay,
For the world tempts us to drift away.
Carousing shadows, drunken nights,
Can cloud our vision, dim our lights.
But Christ, our guide, in wisdom speaks,
“Stay alert, for the soul’s what seeks.
The cares of life may weigh you down,
Yet in My truth, your joy is found.”
As the day wanes and the night draws near,
Let not your heart succumb to fear.
In prayer and watchfulness, find your grace,
Embrace the peace in His warm embrace.
Stand firm in faith, let your spirit soar,
With every step, seek Him more and more.
For those who wait, with eyes open wide,
Will find their strength by the Savior’s side.
So rise each morning, with purpose anew,
In the light of His love, let your heart be true.
For in the vigilant, the promise unfolds,
A life redeemed, in His love, behold. Amen.
