The First Letter to the Thessalonians 5 V- 14 and 21

14 We urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, cheer the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all. 15 See that no one returns evil for evil; rather, always seek what is good [both] for each other and for all. 16 Rejoice always. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 Test everything; retain what is good.22 Refrain from every kind of evil.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:14-22, the Apostle Paul provides a powerful exhortation for living a life that reflects the heart of God. He urges the community to “encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone,” and to “rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances.” These verses encapsulate the essence of living in the Spirit, reminding us that our actions and attitudes should be rooted in the love and grace of God.

To embody these teachings is not merely a suggestion but the will of God for our lives. When we surrender our plans and desires to Him, we open ourselves to being led by the Spirit. This surrender invites divine inspiration into our daily routines, enabling us to respond with compassion and patience, even in challenging situations. By praying over everything we do, we become attuned to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, guiding our thoughts and actions in alignment with God’s will.

As we cultivate this habit of surrender, we learn to call upon the Lord in every aspect of our lives. We become “Spirit-led, God-inspired, and Christ-fed. ®” This transformation is not instantaneous; it is a journey of continual growth and reliance on God's guidance. Each moment of prayer and each act of kindness strengthens our connection to the divine, allowing us to flourish in the fruits of the Spirit.

In conclusion, let us embrace the call to rejoice, pray, and give thanks, recognizing that these actions are the manifestations of God's will in our lives. By doing so, we not only uplift ourselves but also those around us, reflecting the light of Christ in a world that desperately needs it. “Pray without ceasing.” Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

11-13-2024 1 Thessalonians 5 1422

**Pray Without Ceasing**

In the heart of our community, let love abound,

Encourage the weary, lift them from the ground.

With patience we walk, through trials and strife,

Helping the weak, bringing hope back to life.

Rejoice in the morning, let praises take flight,

Pray without ceasing, let faith be our light.

In every situation, give thanks from the soul,

For in gratitude’s embrace, we find ourselves whole.

Hold fast to what’s good, let it flourish and grow,

Reject all that’s evil, let the Spirit’s grace flow.

With hearts ever open, we seek to discern,

The will of the Father, in each lesson we learn.

A tapestry woven with threads of His love,

Guided by wisdom from Heaven above.

Spirit-led wanderers, we gather as one,

In Christ, our foundation, our journey begun.

So let’s shine brightly, with kindness our goal,

For in every small act, we reflect His role.

Together we stand, in His purpose we find,

In unity thriving, our hearts intertwined. Amen.
