The Book of Sirach Ch 47 v- Eight

8 With his every deed (David) offered thanks to God Most High, in words of praise. With his whole heart he loved his Maker.

King David, a man after God's own heart, remains one of the most illustrious figures in the Bible, renowned for his profound and passionate love for the Almighty. His life, a tapestry of triumph and tribulation, was marked by an unwavering devotion to God the Most High. With every breath and action, David sought to express his gratitude and reverence through heartfelt adoration and songs of praise that have echoed through the ages of time.

In the quiet pastures, as a young shepherd, David fostered an intimate relationship with his Creator, worshipping with a pure and undivided heart. This spiritual connection was the wellspring of his strength and the source of his courage against the towering Goliath. It was this same love that inspired him to dance before the Lord with all his might, unashamed of his exuberant expression of thanksgiving.

Through the Psalms, David's poetic legacy, we glimpse the beauty of his soul's affection for God. His words, a harmonious blend of divine inspiration and human emotion, encapsulate the depths of his love and the breadth of his praise. From the tranquil assurances of Psalm 23 to the repentant cries of Psalm 51, David's psalms are a testament to his lifelong commitment to honoring God, irrespective of life's fluctuations.

Even in his failings, David's love for God shone brightly. His sincere repentance and desire for restoration revealed a heart that truly cherished his Maker above all else. He understood the weight of mercy and the joy of Salvation, and his life's song was one of ceaseless worship—a melody of gratitude to the God he loved with every fiber of his being.

King David's love for God was not a silent affair; it was an active, living testament to his faith. Through trials and victories alike, David's life declared the glory of God, and his legacy continues to inspire us to love the Lord with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength.

To embody the essence of King David and live out the Salvation he foresaw, we must cultivate a heart that seeks after God with fervency and sincerity. In today's fast-paced and often secular world, this requires intentional effort to prioritize our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We can start by immersing ourselves in the Scriptures, much like David did, allowing the Holy Word to shape our thoughts and actions. Daily prayer and meditation can become our modern-day psalms, personal conversations with God that express our deepest longings, thankfulness, and repentance.

Regular worship, both privately and within a community, can help fortify our spiritual resilience, just as communal celebrations and worship fortified David's faith. In moments of success, we should remain humble, attributing our victories to God's grace, and in times of failure or sin, we must seek forgiveness with a contrite heart, ready to make amends and change our ways. By serving others with compassion and justice, we act as David did, shepherding those in our care with the love and righteousness that reflect God's own heart. Through these actions, we can embrace the Salvation David spoke of—an ongoing redemption that transforms our lives and ripples out into the world, revealing the Kingdom of God through lives lived in devotion and service. Amen.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. **Whole Heart of David Loves God**

In Judah's hills, where olives grow and cedars touch the sky,

There reigned a king, a shepherd boy, whose psalms would never die.

With every deed, a grateful heart, to God Most High he'd raise,

His voice would lift, his harp would sing, in endless streams of praise.

With sling in hand, Goliath fell, the giant met his end,

And David's faith, with thanks to God, did Israel's peace extend.

He danced before the Ark of God, his joy could not be tamer,

For with his whole and fervent heart, he loved his gracious Maker.

Through trials dark and troubles vast, when Saul's spear sought his life,

He found his refuge in the Lord, amidst the mortal strife.

In caves and wilderness, he'd pray, his trust in God unswayed,

Each victory, a testament, for which thanks to God he paid.

A temple dreamt, but not fulfilled, his son would build the space,

Yet David's heart, his psalms of praise, would fill it with God's grace.

A man of flaws, yet after God's own heart, he sought to be,

King David's legacy of thanks, through all ages, we still eternally see. Amen.
