The Book of John 6 v- 48 thru 58

48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; 50 this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” 52 The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?” 53 Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.”

John 6:48-58 is a profound passage where Jesus declares Himself as the "bread of life," emphasizing that whoever partakes in His body and blood will have eternal life. This scripture forms the foundation of our Eucharistic pilgrimage, a journey my wife and soulmate in Christ, Tonita, and I are deeply committed to. We are traveling to the Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, a pilgrimage fueled by our fervent desire to express our deepest joys in receiving the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ each and every day.

Our pilgrimage is not merely a physical journey but a spiritual odyssey, guided by the Holy Spirit, inspired by God, and fed by Christ Himself. Searching out different churches each day in the Catholic faith to receive His True Food His True Drink. We like to call this experience Spirit-led, God-inspired, and Christ-fed daily. Attending Mass and receiving the Eucharist is, for us, akin to experiencing a piece of heaven on earth. It is a moment where the divine intersects with our human lives, nourishing our souls and fortifying our faith.

In receiving His True Food and True Drink, we are reaffirming our unwavering belief in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. This sacred act of communion is more than a ritual; it is a profound encounter with the living Christ, who sustains us and empowers us to live out our faith with love and conviction.

As we journey to the Eucharistic Congress, we carry with us a sense of deep gratitude and joy. We are united with countless others who share our belief in the transformative power of the Eucharist. This pilgrimage is a testament to our commitment to live a Eucharistic-centered life, continually drawing strength from the sacrament that epitomizes Christ's love and sacrifice for humanity.

Through this pilgrimage, Tonita and I seek to deepen our relationship with Jesus and with each other, as we celebrate the ultimate gift of His body and blood, given for our salvation. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

07-09-2024 John 6 V-4858

**Jesus is the Source of Eternal Nourishment**

In ancient lands where shadows creep,

A voice of truth begins to speak,

“I am the Bread,” the Savior cries,

“From Heaven’s heart, I’ve come to rise.

No manna fallen from the sky,

Can match the gift I now supply,

Whoever eats, shall never die,

But live with Me, where spirits fly.

Your fathers ate, yet passed away,

But this Bread brings eternal day,

My flesh, for life, I freely give,

So all who taste, shall truly live.

The bread I offer, is My flesh,

A sacrifice, forever fresh,

And those who drink, My blood receive,

In Me, they dwell and truly cleave.

Confounded minds, yet hearts must trust,

For in this gift, the boundless thrust,

Of life unending, love profound,

Within My sacrifice is truly found.

So come, partake, and understand,

This Bread of Life, from Heaven’s hand,

In faith, consume, and thus embrace,

Eternal life, amazing grace.” Amen.
