The Gospel of Luke Chapter 11 v- One thru Four
1 He was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.” 2 He said to them, “When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. 3 Give us each day our daily bread 4 and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test.”
Luke 11:1-4 captures a sacred moment when Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray, offering them the profound words of the Our Father. Each time I recite this prayer, especially during my daily Rosary, I feel a unique connection to both the divine and my cherished memories. The Our Father is not just a prayer; it’s a bridge that links my past to my present, grounding me in hope, faith and love.
I vividly remember being around nine years old when my grandmother Mildred from my mom's side encouraged me to learn this essential prayer. She sat with me, her gentle voice guiding my attempts to recite the words with sincerity. In return for my efforts, she gifted me five dollars—a small token, yet it represented so much more. It was her way of instilling the importance of prayer in my life, and I have carried that lesson with me ever since.
As I meditate on the words "Our Father," I can almost feel her presence beside me. Each phrase resonates with the love she shared, and I often include her in my prayer intentions. I ask for her intercession, hoping she watches over me as I navigate life’s challenges. The Our Father has become a sacred ritual, a reminder of the bond between generations, and a testament to the faith that my grandmother nurtured within me.
Reciting this prayer during the Rosary fills me with a sense of peace and gratitude. It’s a moment where the past and present collide, where my grandmother’s influence lives on in my heart. Each prayer reinforces my connection to her, the faith we share, and the love that endures through the power of prayer. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

**Teach Us To Pray**
In quiet moments, whispers rise,
From faithful lips toward the skies.
“Father, hallowed be Your name,
In Heaven's light, we seek Your fame.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done,
On earth as it is, beneath the sun.
With daily bread, our needs You meet,
In grace and love, our hearts You greet.
Forgive our sins, as we forgive,
In mercy's arms, may we all live.
Lead us from trials, hold us near,
For in faith, our path becomes so clear.
With every word, a bond we share,
In prayerful whispers, we lay bare.
The Our Father, a timeless song,
In its embrace, we all belong.
So as I pray, I feel the grace,
Of Grandma Mildred’s warm embrace.
Her lessons deep, in heart they stay,
In every prayer, she lights my way.
Together, we lift our voices high,
With love and hope, we touch the sky.
In unity, we find our peace,
In this sacred prayer, our hearts release. Amen.
