The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 11 V- 28 through 30

28 “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 offers a profound invitation from Jesus: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” These words resonate deeply, echoing the very moment I surrendered my life to Him. In that pivotal instance, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief wash over me, as if the weight of the world had been lifted from my shoulders. The burdens I had carried—regret, shame, and the relentless pursuit of fulfillment—began to dissipate in the light of His grace.

Calling on the name of Jesus was not just an act of faith; it was a transformative experience. I discovered a forgiveness that I had long sought, a grace that enveloped me like a warm embrace, reminding me that I was loved unconditionally. It was as though a veil had been removed, revealing a new purpose and passion ignited within my heart. I realized that true rest does not come from the absence of trials but from the presence of Christ in my life.

As I reflected on those verses, I understood that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. No longer did I have to strive alone; I could walk alongside Him, trusting in His guidance. The peace that followed was palpable, filling the void that once felt insatiable. In surrendering to Him, I found not just rest, but a vibrant life brimming with meaning.

This journey has been one of continual renewal, as I lean into His promises each day. The joy and assurance of knowing Jesus has transformed me, allowing His peace, passion, and purpose to envelop my life, leading me into a state of true rest. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

12-11-2024 Matthew 11 v2830

**My Yoke is Easy My Burden Light**

In weary days and burdens deep,

When shadows fall and sorrows seep,

A voice of hope breaks through the night,

“Come, find your rest; I am the Light.”

With heavy heart and troubled mind,

In search of peace, my soul entwined,

I heard His words, soft as a breeze,

“Lay down your cares, and come to Me.”

The yoke I bore was far too great,

A weight of doubt, a heart of hate;

But in His arms, I found my place,

Embraced by love and bound by grace.

He offers rest for every soul,

A gentle guide to make us whole.

No longer lost in endless strife,

He gives us joy, He gives us life.

His burden light, His way so clear,

In Him, I cast away all my fear.

With every step, my heart awakes,

To passion's fire, my spirit breaks.

So come, dear friend, if you are worn,

In Christ, a new day can be born.

He calls to you with tender plea,

“Come, find your peace and rest in Me.” Amen.
