The Gospel of Luke Chapter 18 Verse One thru Eight
1 Then he told them a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said, 2 “There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being. 3 And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, ‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’ 4 For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, ‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, 5 because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.’” 6 The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. 7 Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? 8 I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
In Luke 18:1-8, we encounter the parable of the persistent widow, a story that illustrates the power of unwavering faith and the importance of persistent prayer. Jesus tells us about a widow who continuously approaches an unjust judge, pleading for justice. Despite the judge's initial reluctance, her persistence ultimately compels him to grant her request. This parable underscores the necessity of relentless prayer—an invitation to call upon the Lord in all circumstances, trusting that He hears us.
For me, prayer is not just a ritual; it is my lifeline. It’s an expression of my complete surrender to God, a way of inviting His presence into every moment of my life. When I bow my head and call on the name of Jesus, I’m reminded that I am not alone in facing the trials of this world. Prayer transforms my worries into worship, my fears into faith, and my burdens into blessings. It places my concerns into the loving hands of my Savior.
Even when I feel attacked by the evil spirits of this world, prayer fills me with peace. The adversities may press in, but my heart remains anchored in the joy of salvation, knowing that my Father is with me. I often find solace in calling on Jesus’ name, especially when the shadows of despair seem to loom large. Like the persistent widow, I refuse to be silent, continually bringing my petitions before God, confident that He listens and cares.
By expressing my daily activities through prayer, I seek to glorify Him in all I do. Each task, each interaction becomes an opportunity to surrender to His will. This practice nurtures my spirit and deepens my faith, ultimately leading me to a place of profound peace. I am privileged to call on the Name of Jesus, inviting His strength and guidance into my life, thus experiencing the joy and assurance that comes from being His beloved child. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Day 7 for the repose of the Soul of Edgar Bruce. RIP In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
11-15-2025 Luke 18 v0108
**When the Son of Man Comes Will He Find Faith on Earth**
In a town where hope seemed dim and far,
A widow cried for justice, her voice a scar.
Day and night she sought the judge's ear,
Persistent heart, her purpose clear.
"Grant me justice, I won't relent,
For the wronged and weary, my soul’s lament."
The judge, unmoved, in his lofty seat,
Ignored her pleas, her struggles meet.
No fear of God, no care for man,
His heart was stone, a hardened plan.
Yet still she came, with steady grace,
Her faith unwavering, she'd find her place.
"Though I’m weary of her endless demands,
I’ll grant her wish, for she understands,"
He thought at last, with irritation stirred,
Her steadfast spirit, most clearly heard.
Justice for the one who seeks it true,
Her battle, though tough, in faith she drew.
"Will God not answer those who cry,
Day and night, beneath the sky?"
The lesson learned, through parable told,
That justice will come for the brave and bold.
For God, unlike the judge so grim,
Listens to hearts that constantly seek Him.
So rise, O seekers, in faith abide,
For justice will come; let hope be your guide.
In every struggle, do not lose sight,
Of a God who listens, day and night.
In persistent prayer, we find our grace,
For the Lord upholds the weary's place.
Spiritual battles won even untold,
Loving Salvation as we grow old! Amen.
