The Gospel of Luke Chapter 11 Verse 27 thru 28

27 While he was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed.” 28 He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”

In Luke 11:27-28, we encounter a powerful moment that emphasizes the importance of actively listening to and living by the Word of God. The passage recounts a woman from the crowd who praises Jesus, exclaiming, “Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that nursed you.” In response, Jesus shifts the focus from His earthly lineage to a deeper truth: “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

This profound interaction serves as a reminder that true blessing comes not merely from a physical or familial connection to Jesus, but from our active engagement with God’s Word. To live in the Will of God, we must be attentive to the Scriptures and actively incorporate their teachings into our daily lives. Hearing the Word is crucial, yet it is our response—our obedience—that transforms mere knowledge into a lived experience of faith.

Each day, we encounter divine truths in Scripture that call us beyond passive listening. The teachings of Jesus beckon us to apply His wisdom in our decisions, relationships, and actions. To be called "blessed" in the Kingdom of Heaven requires us to not only absorb the teachings but also to let them guide our lives. It invites us into a transformative journey—one in which faith is expressed through obedience, love, and service.

As followers of Christ, let us commit to daily meditation on His Word and strive to align our lives with its teachings. In doing so, we position ourselves to receive the blessings of God and fulfill the purpose He has for us. May we remember that it is through hearing and doing the Word of God that we truly find our place in His Kingdom. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Day eight Novena prayers of Kayley. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

10-11-2025 Luke 11 v2728

**Hear the Word of God and Observe It**

In the crowd a voice so clear,

A woman’s praise for Him drew near,

“Blessed is she who bore your name!”

Yet Jesus spoke, His truth aflame.

“Blessed are those who hear and heed,

Who embrace My words, fulfill the need,

For in obedience lies eternal grace,

To walk with God, to seek His face.”

So let us gather, hearts in tune,

To live His Word from morn to noon,

In faithful action we will see,

The blessing of God’s heavenly harmony. Amen.
