The Gospel of Luke Chapter 10 Verse 13 thru 16
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty deeds done in your midst had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. 14 But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15 And as for you, Capernaum, ‘Will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to the netherworld.’ 16 Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”
In Luke 10:13-16, Jesus pronounces woe upon cities that have rejected His message, contrasting their fate with the joy and freedom found in accepting the Gospel. He emphasizes the importance of listening to Him and recognizing His authority. The passage reminds us that rejecting Jesus ultimately leads to a life devoid of the joy and peace that comes from a relationship with Him. Instead, embracing Christ invites us into a transformative experience filled with grace and hope.
To truly listen to God and His Son, we must surrender our lives, letting go of burdens that bind us. This surrender is not merely about relinquishing control but is a joyful act of faith that opens our hearts to the divine. When we celebrate Jesus in everything we do—through our actions, words, and thoughts—we align ourselves with His teachings and the abundant life He promises.
Each moment affords us the opportunity to rejoice in His presence, to live in the freedom that faith brings. This celebration is evident in our interactions with others, our service to our communities, and our responses to life's challenges. Embracing Jesus means acknowledging His role as our Savior and Lord, recognizing that every decision can either draw us closer to Him or further away.
As we reflect on this passage, let us commit to celebrating Christ in all aspects of our lives. When we fully embrace His call, we experience profound joy, inner peace, and the freedom that comes from living according to His will. Let us then choose to listen, to surrender, and to rejoice in the hope we find in Jesus, confidently sharing His love with the world around us. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Happy Birthday to my daughter Alexandra. Amen.

**Will You Be exalted to Heaven**
In cities where the heart turns cold,
Light dims where truth is left untold.
Rejection finds its bitter cost,
For joy and peace are truly lost.
Oh, listen, friends, to wisdom’s call,
Embrace the One who gives to all.
Surrender yields a path so bright,
He leads us from the dark to light.
Celebrate His grace each day,
In all we do, let voices sway.
For in His love, we find our song,
Together, we are safe and forever strong.
So heed the call, let hearts align,
With Jesus’ love, our souls entwine.
For those who hear and hold Him near,
Shall walk in joy, in peace, not fear. Amen.
