The Book of Matthew 26 v- 26 thru 29

26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 I tell you, from now on I shall not drink this fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father.”

In Matthew 26:26-29, we encounter one of the most profound moments in Christian faith: the institution of the Eucharist. In these verses, Jesus takes bread, blesses it, breaks it, and gives it to His disciples, saying, "Take, eat; this is My body." He then takes a cup, gives thanks, and offers it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

The True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is a cornerstone of our Christian belief, particularly in Catholicism and Orthodox Christianity. This presence is not merely symbolic; it is a literal embodiment of Jesus Christ. Embracing this True Presence means accepting that the bread and wine, through the mystery of transubstantiation, become the actual body and blood of Christ. This belief is rooted in Jesus' own words and actions during the Last Supper.

Firstly, the Eucharist serves as a tangible connection to Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. By participating in the Eucharist, believers are united with Christ's offering of Himself for the redemption of humanity. This act of remembrance is more than a historical recollection; it is a living encounter with Jesus who continues to offer Himself to us.

Secondly, the Eucharist is a profound expression of God's covenant with humanity. In the Old Testament, covenants were sealed with sacrifices and shared meals. Jesus, by offering His body and blood, establishes a new covenant, inviting us into an intimate relationship with Him. This sacramental union transforms us, nourishing our souls and strengthening our faith.

Moreover, the Eucharist embodies the communal aspect of faith. When we gather to partake in the Eucharist, we do so as a unified body of believers, transcending individual differences. It is a celebration of unity in Christ, reminding us that we are all members of His body.

In embracing the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, we acknowledge the mystery and depth of God's love for us. It is an act of faith, trust, and devotion, recognizing that through this sacrament, Jesus is truly present, offering Himself to us in an intimate and transformative way. We believe we become Spirit led God inspired Christ fed to accomplish the Will of God in every aspect our life has to offer. Embrace Him who saved the world from sin and find Life Eternal in His Divine Meal. Amen.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. **Jesus’ Body and Blood for the Forgiveness of Sins**

In that quiet upper room, the night was drawing near,

The Savior sat with those He loved, His chosen ones so dear.

With bread in hand, His eyes did shine, a solemn, sacred light,

He spoke of sacrifice and love, the dawn of endless night.

"Take, eat," He broke the bread, His voice a tender plea,

"This is My body, given for you, remember, think of Me."

The bread of life, the gift divine, His presence in each crumb,

A symbol of His boundless love, the kingdom yet to come.

Then He took up the chalice, filled with the fruit of vine,

"Drink ye all of it," He said, "This blood of Mine, divine."

A covenant, a promise new, forgiveness in each sip,

The wine, a token of His grace, poured from His loving lips.

No more shall I drink this fruit, until that joyful day,

When with you in My Father’s realm, we feast in bright array.

The bread, the wine, His body, His blood, a mystery so profound,

A sacred meal, a holy bond, in love and mercy abound.

Remember Him, remember this, the night before the dawn,

The sacrifice, the love divine, the path we all walk on.

In bread and wine, His presence stay, a comfort and a guide,

Till we meet Him once again, and sit close by His side. Amen.
