The Gospel of Luke Chapter 12 v- 13 thru 15

13 Someone in the crowd said to (Jesus), “Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me.14 He replied to him, “Friend, who appointed Me as your judge and arbitrator?” 15 Then (Jesus) said to the crowd, “Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one’s life does not consist of possessions.”

I just finished a four-day retreat with the incarcerated at Avon Park Correctional here in Central Florida. This Kairos event I was leading began on Thursday afternoon and concluded yesterday at around 3:30. Each day we went in at around 7 AM and left at around 6 PM each night. We chose 36 prisoners to participate in this spiritual journey and allowed several other graduates of the program to serve as helpers of the event. We begin by stating that we are here to represent the Christian faith. Then we move through a subsequent journey in forgiveness seeking to share how to let go of past hurts past wrongs and past disappointments wanting to know how true freedom comes in a surrender to living for the church and making choices of living for God First. We teach them that they are the church and we seek to make them understand how to group as men of faith within the walls of incarceration sharing the faith of truth and goodwill.

Their reactions were filled with wonder of Christ as their Savior and God as their Father. “So much love with zero judgement,” one participant said during our “Open Mike” at the end of the retreat. One explained that he felt like he was in Heaven seeing so much heavenly grace being oozed by more than 25 men. “This is what Heaven on earth looks like,” he said. We had a graduate give testimony at the end who spoke of leaving the mountain top. You know, where Jesus allows you to see his grace in action where miracles abound and you can hear God speaking aloud to your soul. But just like Peter who wanted to build some tents and stay, “We can’t,” he said stay on the Mountain top. We must come down and experience all the things God has intended for you. You must be proactive in this journey seeking to know God in every aspect your life has to offer. We call it living God First. Amen. And Kairos allows just one more command of our Lord to be fulfilled, “I was in prison and you visited me.” Please pray for our men in blue and our team who seek to live the Will of God by serving as His Disciples. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. Kairos 56. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for a friend and his wife for a baby to be born has been answered; she is 23 weeks pregnant with a little boy. Praise God thank You Jesus. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Living is made up by how you serve**

Bystander request for The Teacher

Brother mine tell inheritance share

Arbitrator and judge Me hired by what creature

Jesus replied to the crowd with a Divine stare

Greed against guard care take

Although rich one may have some nerve

Life consists not of what you make

Living is made up by how you serve
