The Gospel of John Chapter 1 Verse 29 thru 34
29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. 30 He is the one of whom I said, ‘A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’ 31 I did not know him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that he might be made known to Israel.” 32 John testified further, saying, “I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from the sky and remain upon him. 33 I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, he is the one who will baptize with the holy Spirit.’ 34 Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God.”
In John 1:29-34, we witness a pivotal moment in the life of John the Baptist as he proclaims Jesus as the Lamb of God. When John sees Jesus approaching, he declares, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” This profound introduction not only highlights Jesus’ role as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins but also sets the stage for the transformative power of His ministry.
John further explains his own role, noting that he baptizes with water, but there is One who comes after him, greater than he, who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. This promise of baptism in the Holy Spirit is a vital aspect of Jesus’ gift to believers. It signifies a deep and personal transformation, a powerful indwelling of God's Spirit that empowers us for a life of holiness and service.
As followers of Christ today, we too are invited to experience this baptism of the Holy Spirit. Through our surrender to Jesus’ holy will, we open ourselves to receive this gift. This surrender is not merely a passive act but an active commitment to align our lives with God’s holy purpose. In doing so, we invite the Holy Spirit to guide, empower, and transform us from within.
John’s testimony and Jesus’ promise remind us that we are not alone in our walk of faith. The Holy Spirit is available to all who believe, stirring in our hearts a desire for righteousness, equipping us to share the love of Christ with the world. As we contemplate John’s declaration, let us embrace the call to surrender. May we behold Jesus as our Lamb and allow Him to immerse us in the Holy Spirit, transforming us into His likeness for His eternal glory. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

**He Is The Son of God**
In the light of dawn, the river flows,
A voice proclaims what every heart knows,
A figure approaches, humble and grand,
John points with fervor, the Savior at hand.
“Behold the Lamb!” he cries, lifting his gaze,
The sinless One, who sets the world ablaze,
To take on our burdens, our sorrows, our shame,
In the waters of Jordan, He calls out my name.
The Spirit descends, like a dove from the sky,
Anointing the Heir, the reason we sigh,
With grace overflowing, His mission defined,
To gather the lost, to give sight to the blind.
“Here is the One,” John declared with delight,
Whose blood will redeem, turning darkness to light,
"I knew Him not," yet in silence I see,
The promised Messiah, God's gift to the free.
Testify boldly, the truth shall resound,
In every heart searching, His love will be found,
For He is the life, the Word made anew,
The Lamb of God’s promise, forever so true. Amen.
