The Gospel of John 16 Verses 29 thru 33

29 His disciples said, “Now you are talking plainly, and not in any figure of speech. 30 Now we realize that you know everything and that you do not need to have anyone question you. Because of this we believe that you came from God.” 31 Jesus answered them, “Do you believe now? 32 Behold, the hour is coming and has arrived when each of you will be scattered to his own home and you will leave me alone. But I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 I have told you this so that you might have peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.”

In John 16:29-33, we find a profound moment as Jesus prepares His disciples for the trials that lie ahead. Their confidence in Him grows when they acknowledge that He knows all things. Yet, Jesus gently forecasts the chaos that will ensue, predicting that they will scatter and abandon Him. Despite this, He offers a powerful assurance: “Take heart; I have overcome the world.” This declaration resonates through time, echoing into our lives today.

In a world filled with turmoil and uncertainty, Jesus’ victory over the world provides an unshakeable peace, one that surpasses human understanding. This peace is not merely the absence of conflict but an inner tranquility that flourishes in the hearts of those who trust in Him. It’s a peace that stands firm even when the storms of life rage around us, inviting us to lean into His promises rather than our circumstances.

The acknowledgment of our fragility as human beings, like the disciples who would soon scatter, reminds us that we are prone to wavering in our faith. Yet, Jesus implores us to get off the fence of indecision. There comes a moment in each believer's life when we must choose to embrace the fullness of salvation—to step into the community of faith and allow His peace to envelop us. This decision is pivotal; it beckons us to a life of eternal assurance rather than fleeting doubt.

Embracing the peace of Christ leads to a profound transformation, replacing anxiety with hope. Jesus knows our struggles and weaknesses, yet He calls us into something greater. Let us take heart in His triumph, live boldly in His peace, and accept the invitation to dwell in the light of His salvation eternally. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

06-02-25 John 16 v2933

**In The World You Will Have Trouble**

In shadows deep, the night draws near,

Disciples speak, their hearts in fear.

“Now we see, we understand,”

Yet doubt still lingers, hand in hand.

The Master smiles, His wisdom clear,

To face the storm, He draws them near.

“For I have overcome,” He says,

Their scattered hearts He seeks to bless.

“Take heart, dear friends, the road is rough,

The world may threaten, but I am enough.

In trials fierce, my peace you’ll find,

A calm assurance for every mind.”

Though they will flee, their faith will wane,

In darkest moments, He feels their pain.

Yet through the struggle, His love remains,

A promise echoing through the stains.

The world is fierce, it roars and bites,

But in the depths, He brings the light.

With every heartbeat, His truth reveals,

A peace profound that time conceals.

So let us rise, no longer torn,

From doubt’s sharp edge, let hope be born.

In salvation’s arms, our spirits soar,

Through Christ, our hearts forevermore.

Embrace the peace that He has won,

For in His name, our battles are done.

Though we may stumble, His grace will lead,

In Jesus’ love, we are freed indeed. Amen.
