The Gospel of John 17 Verses 20 thru 26
20 “I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. 22 And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, they are your gift to me. I wish that where I am they also may be with me, that they may see my glory that you gave me, because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 Righteous Father, the world also does not know you, but I know you, and they know that you sent me. 26 I made known to them your name and I will make it known that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them.”
In John 17:20-26, we find Jesus’ profound prayer for His followers, a moment that echoes the depth of His relationship with the Father and His desire for unity among believers. Here, He prays not only for His immediate disciples but for all who will come to believe in Him through their message. This expansive prayer reveals a core aspect of the Christian faith: the intimate connection between Jesus and the Father, underscored by the assertion, "You loved Me before the foundation of the world."
This statement emphasizes that God’s love is not a reaction or a fleeting emotion; it is eternal, rooted in the very essence of the Trinity. Before creation itself, the Father’s love for the Son existed, highlighting a divine relationship that is foundational to our understanding of God. Through this love, Jesus provides us with access to the Father’s heart and emphasizes that those who believe in Him are invited into this divine love.
Jesus desires that His followers experience the same love that binds Him to the Father. As He says, "I in them and You in Me," He illustrates the interconnectedness that believers share with one another and with God. This divine unity is not merely conceptual; it has practical implications for how believers live and relate to one another. It calls us to embody this love, creating a community marked by acceptance and grace.
Moreover, Jesus’ prayer reflects His longing for His followers to know not just the existence of this love but to experience it deeply. In essence, the love that the Father bestowed upon the Son is now available to us, allowing us to reflect that love in our lives and interactions. Through Christ, we not only receive love but are empowered to share it, fulfilling Jesus’ vision for unity and compassion in the world. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
06-05-25 John 17 v2026
**I Made Known to Them Your Name**
In quiet prayer beneath the stars,
For all who seek, near and far,
He lifts His heart in sacred plea,
"May they be one, just as We see."
The love You gave before time's dawn,
In Christ, our souls are gently drawn,
A bond that no one can sever,
To realms of grace that last forever.
"I in them, and You in Me,"
In perfect love, we long to be.
A dance of hearts, a divine embrace,
Reflections of Your boundless grace.
As You have loved, so now we share,
In every joy, in every care.
A tapestry of hearts entwined,
In Your essence we are combined.
With unity, our voices rise,
For in this bond, our hope complies.
In harmony, we turn to You,
A world transformed, made pure and true.
So may we carry forth Your Light,
In every shadow, make us beacons of right.
As vessels of Your endless eternal love,
United, we reflect on Heaven above. Amen.
