The Gospel of Mark Chapter 9 V- 19 and 24
19 He said to them in reply, “O faithless generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I endure you? Bring him to me.” 20 They brought the boy to him. And when he saw him, the spirit immediately threw the boy into convulsions. As he fell to the ground, he began to roll around and foam at the mouth. 21 Then he questioned his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” He replied, “Since childhood. 22 It has often thrown him into fire and into water to kill him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23 Jesus said to him, “‘If you can!’ Everything is possible to one who has faith.” 24 Then the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe, help my unbelief!”
Mark 9:19-24 captures a powerful moment between Jesus and a desperate father seeking healing for his tormented son. In this passage, the father pleads, “If you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus responds, “All things are possible for one who believes.” The father’s heartfelt reply, “I believe; help my unbelief!” highlights the human struggle with faith—a struggle we can all relate to.
In these verses, we are reminded that overcoming disbelief is achievable through daily practice, prayer, and the proclamation of God’s Word. Engaging with Scripture not only strengthens our faith but also reaffirms the promises of God in our lives. When we immerse ourselves in the joy of salvation, we find that our doubts are transformed into worship and our fears into a fervent trust in God’s plan.
Prayer is a vital lifeline in our spiritual journey. It allows us to communicate with God, seeking His guidance and strength to confront the doubts that may assail us. By consistently coming before God in prayer, we invite Him to empower us, enabling us to overcome difficult moments and deep-seated unbelief.
Moreover, we are called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who lack faith. In proclaiming the Redeemer, we reflect the light of His mercy and grace. As we help others encounter the love of Christ, we reinforce our own belief and deepen our relationship with Him.
In conclusion, let the message of Mark 9:19-24 resonate in our hearts—by practicing our faith, engaging in prayer, and proclaiming His Word, we can overcome our disbelief, live in the joy of salvation, and guide others toward the redemption only found in Jesus Christ. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**I Do Believe Help My Unbelief**
In a crowd of doubt, a father cried,
"Help my son, who suffers inside."
With eyes of mercy, Jesus replied,
"Believe, for hope in faith will abide."
"All things are possible," the Savior proclaimed,
Yet the father wrestled, his heart unframed.
"I believe; my disbelief has me chained,"
In that moment of struggle, real faith was named.
In prayers lifted high, our whispers ascend,
Through trials and darkness, our spirits mend.
When doubts creep in, let His love be the trend,
For in every struggle, His grace is our friend.
So share the good news, let the message flow,
In the depths of our doubts, His light we will show.
For in trusting His power, we watch faith grow,
Life transformed through belief, in Christ, we will glow. Amen.
