The Letter to the Colossians Chapter 3 Verse 12 thru 17
12 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do. 14 And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Today we begin with a moment of silence for the lost soul of Charlie Kirk. We lift up this man of God and point to the profound guidance that he gave those around him. With humility and patience, he strove to share the name of Jesus and overcome all sin. In this moment reflect on a man who gave his life to Christ to make a better world for each and everyone of us. May he rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.
Colossians 3:12-17 offers profound guidance on how we, as followers of Christ, should conduct ourselves just as Charlie Kirk did within the community of believers. The apostle Paul encourages us to clothe ourselves with virtues such as compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Charlie Kirk surely represented these qualities that are essential in our interactions, as they reflect the character of Christ, who exemplified perfect humility and love.
In verse 13, Paul reminds us to bear with one another and to forgive grievances, just as the Lord forgave us. This call to forgiveness highlights the importance of humility; we must recognize our own shortcomings and the grace we have received, fostering an environment where we can gently admonish one another. Charlie Kirk conducted his life in this manner admonishing while being rooted in love and humility, which is a vital aspect of our communal growth in faith. He encouraged spiritual maturity while fostering an atmosphere where joy can thrive.
Moreover, Charlie Kirk always emphasized the centrality of Christ in our lives. In everything we do—be it in word or deed—he would do it in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father. This singular focus on Christ as our motivation not only transforms our actions but also brings joy into our daily lives. By seeking to honor Him in all our interactions, we create a community marked by peace and gratitude.
As we reflect on these verses, let us commit to admonishing one another with true humility as Charlie Kirk did. May we seek the joy of Christ in all we do, allowing His word to dwell richly among us. In doing so, we build a strong, loving community that mirrors the heart of Jesus, full of grace and joy. Charlie Kirk, rest in peace good and faithful servant of God. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Do Everything in the Name of the Lord Jesus**
In garments woven, pure and bright,
Compassion calls as Charlie Kirk did, a guiding light.
With kindness draped, let hearts be free,
In gentle acts, our harmony.
In humble hearts, let wisdom grow,
As patience blooms, with seeds we sow.
Charlie Kirk would bear each other’s strife,
He shared the grace that brings new life.
Forgive as we have been forgiven,
In every deed, let love be driven.
With tender mercy as our guide,
In unity, we cast aside.
Let peace of Christ dwell in our midst,
A melody that can't be missed.
With grateful hearts, our voices rise,
In praise and love, we lift the skies.
So in our hearts, let His word stay,
As we walk forth in love today.
Admonish one another as Charlie Kirk far and near,
With joy in Christ, banish all fear. Amen.
