The Gospel of John 21 Verses 20 thru 25

20 Peter turned and saw the disciple following whom Jesus loved, the one who had also reclined upon his chest during the supper and had said, “Master, who is the one who will betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus said to him, “What if I want him to remain until I come? What concern is it of yours? You follow me.” 23 So the word spread among the brothers that that disciple would not die. But Jesus had not told him that he would not die, just “What if I want him to remain until I come? [What concern is it of yours?]” 24 It is this disciple who testifies to these things and has written them,* and we know that his testimony is true. 25 There are also many other things that Jesus did, but if these were to be described individually, I do not think the whole world would contain the books that would be written.

In John 14:20-25, Jesus shares profound words with His disciples, offering reassurance and deep insights into the relationship between believers and the Divine. In these verses, He emphasizes that through faith in Him, His followers will experience an intimate connection with God. Jesus states that on that day—referring to His resurrection and the arrival of the Holy Spirit—they will truly understand their unity with Him and the Father. This connection embodies the essence of Christian faith: that those who believe are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, becoming vessels of divine truth and love.

Moreover, Jesus highlights that this relationship transcends mere knowledge; it is about a transformative experience. The world may seem chaotic and filled with uncertainty, but the truths that God instills in our hearts through Jesus Christ illuminate the path for believers. Jesus declares that He will not leave us as orphans, but instead will send the Holy Spirit to teach us and remind us of everything He has said.

Indeed, the wisdom and answers God provides through this relationship are so vast that, as the Bible states, “the world itself could not contain the books that would be written” (John 21:25). This serves as a powerful reminder that the journey of faith is one of continual discovery. Believers are called to dive deeper into the riches of the divine truths that are made available through Christ. As we navigate our lives, we can take comfort in knowing that the wisdom we seek and the answers to life’s complexities come from a loving God who desires to dwell within us. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**His Testimony is True**

In Him, we find our hearts entwined,

Where love and truth are gently signed,

A promise made, we are not alone,

In the Spirit's breath, we find our own.

Upon the dawn of that sacred day,

The veil is lifted, shadows sway,

For in our souls, His presence dwells,

With whispered truths, the heart compels.

"Believe in me," He gently speaks,

Through trials deep, His comfort seeks,

In every heart that knows His name,

The echoes of His love remain.

The world may fade, its answers seem,

Yet in His light, we dare to dream,

For books beyond all measure wide,

Cannot contain what’s found inside.

So let us walk, hand in hand,

In Spirit’s grace, forever stand,

With faith ablaze, our hearts entwined,

In Christ’s embrace, true peace we find. Amen.
