The Gospel of Mark Chapter 9 V- 33 and 37
33 They came to Capernaum and, once inside the house, he began to ask them, “What were you arguing about on the way?” 34 But they remained silent. They had been discussing among themselves on the way who was the greatest.35 Then he sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.”36 Taking a child he placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around it he said to them, 37 “Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the One who sent me.”
In Mark 9:33-37, we find a profound lesson about greatness in the Kingdom of God, where Jesus challenges societal notions of power and prestige. As His disciples argued about who among them was the greatest, Jesus invites a child to stand among them, using this innocent figure to illustrate the heart of true greatness: humility and service. He emphasizes that to be first in His Kingdom, one must be willing to embrace the least among us, serving those who are often overlooked—the lonely, the LOST, and the languished.
This passage resonates deeply, especially for those of us who aspire to be teachers and guides for God's children. It reveals that our role extends beyond imparting knowledge; it is about embodying the Gospel through our actions and character. Teaching is not merely a profession but a profound calling to reflect Christ's love and compassion. By serving the least, we not only offer them a glimpse of God’s Kingdom but also invite them into a transformative relationship with Him.
Through our service, we become beacons of light, showcasing the joy of Salvation that beckons us to give more of ourselves. The act of teaching, rooted in love and humility, impacts lives, demonstrating that true greatness is found in our willingness to serve others. It is in these moments of genuine connection and support that we fulfill our divine purpose.
As we embrace this call, let us remember that every act of service builds a community rooted in love, faith, and hope. In doing so, we become vessels of God’s light, guiding others toward the promise of His joy and the fullness of life found in Jesus Christ. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
02-25-2025 Mark 9 v3337
**If Anyone Wishes to be First He Shall be the Last of All**
In a dusty room, the questions arose,
Disciples debated, each seeking to pose,
“Who among us is greatest?” they sought to proclaim,
But the Savior, in wisdom, would shift all their aim.
He summoned a child, so tender and small,
Innocence shining, love conquering all.
“Behold,” He declared, “the least is the great,
To serve and to welcome, that’s your true fate.”
For greatness in heaven is humble and meek,
To lift up the lonely, to comfort the weak.
When we open our hearts and embrace those in need,
We mirror His love, for the world to succeed.
So let us take courage, with joy let us strive,
To serve with compassion, let kindness revive.
In the least of our brothers, the Savior we see,
For in loving the humble, we set our hearts free. Amen.
