The Book of Psalms Chapter 71 V- One through Four

1 In you, LORD, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame. 2 In your justice rescue and deliver me; listen to me and save me! 3 Be my rock of refuge, my stronghold to give me safety; for you are my rock and fortress. 4 My God, rescue me from the hand of the wicked, from the clutches of the evil and violent.

Psalm 71:1-4 beautifully encapsulates the essence of trust in the Lord, serving as a reminder of the profound passion, purpose, and peace that can be found in faith. The psalmist begins with a heartfelt plea for refuge, asserting that in God alone is safety and deliverance. This powerful invocation establishes a foundation for believers, encouraging them to rest in the assurance that God is their stronghold amid life’s trials.

Trusting in the Lord is not merely an act of faith; it ignites a fervor within us to serve the least, the lonely, and the languished. When we anchor our lives in God’s love and protection, we become vessels of that same grace, reaching out to those who are often overlooked. Our good deeds, motivated by compassion, not only uplift others but also rescue us from the snares of negativity and despair, which can arise from the actions of family, friends, or foes.

In a world fraught with challenges, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet, Psalm 71 reassures us that God is in control. His faithfulness shields us from wickedness, providing us with the peace that surpasses all understanding. We can face adversities with confidence, knowing that our purpose is intertwined with His divine plan.

As we trust in the Lord, we discover that our passions align with His will, and our purpose becomes clearer. We are called to be light in the darkness, reflecting God’s love to those around us. Let us embrace this calling, knowing that in serving others, we find our own rescue and restoration. God has got this! Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

12-19-2024 Psalms 71 v0104

**Lord You Are My Rock**

In shadows deep, my refuge stands,

O Lord, I trust in Your gentle hands.

From depths of sorrow, my heart takes flight,

In You, my fortress, my guiding light.

When foes surround and doubts arise,

I seek Your strength, my Savior wise.

With every breath, my soul will sing,

In You, dear Lord, I find my wings.

You’ve been my hope since days of old,

A tale of mercy, steadfast and bold.

To the least and lonely, I’ll lend my hand,

With love and kindness, together we stand.

Rescue me, Lord, from wicked schemes,

In Your embrace, I find my dreams.

For in Your peace, my heart finds rest,

In trusting You, I am truly blessed.

So let me serve, with passion and grace,

Reflecting Your love in every place.

For in this journey, hand in hand,

With faith in You, I take my stand. Amen.
