The Letter to the Ephesians Chapter 1 Verse Three thru Six

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, 4 as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him. In love 5 he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, 6 for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved.

Ephesians 1:3-6 reminds us of the profound and transformative truth of our identity in Christ. The Apostle Paul opens this passage with a powerful declaration: we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. This divine favor is not arbitrary; it is rooted in God's eternal plan and reflects His immense love for us.

In verse 4, Paul underscores that we have been chosen before the foundation of the world. This notion of being "chosen" is deeply significant, affirming that our existence is intentional, and our place in God’s family is ordained. We were not an afterthought; rather, we were envisioned and favored long before time began.

The heart of this passage centers on our adoption as children of God. In verse 5, Paul articulates the profound truth that we have been adopted through Jesus Christ. This adoption signifies not just a mere affiliation but a complete transformation of our identity. We are no longer outsiders; we belong to God’s family, cherished and valued. The significance of this adoption lies in its purpose: to fulfill His will for our lives.

As we reflect on these verses, let us embrace the reality that, through Christ, we are redeemed forever. This redemption is a gift of grace—a favor bestowed upon us not because of our merit but because of His abundant love. We are called to live as reflections of this grace, embodying the love and acceptance we have received.

In Christ, we find our ultimate identity—adopted, loved, and redeemed. Let us rejoice in the assurance that we are part of His heavenly family, living out our purpose in accordance with the favor of His will. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Repose of the Soul John Jeffries. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

12-08-2025 Ephesians 1 v0306

**Before the Foundation of the World**

In heavenly realms, where blessings flow,

The Father's love begins to show,

Chosen in Christ before the dawn,

In grace we rise, a rebirth, a new dawn.

Adopted heirs, we’re wrapped in care,

His heart rejoices, truth to share,

Through Christ our lives, His grace bestowed,

A sacred path, His love is sowed.

Redemption found in blood divine,

Forgiveness given, promise enshrined,

To praise His glory, our hearts unite,

In every trial, He is our light.

So let us stand, in love embrace,

Reflecting grace, our rightful place,

In Him we live, our spirits sing,

Eternal hope, our offering. Amen.
