The Letter to the Philippians Chapter 2 Verse 5 thru 11
5 Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus, 6 Who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. 7 Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, 8 he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. 9 Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:5-11 serves as a profound reminder of the humility and obedience exemplified in Jesus Christ. The scripture urges us to adopt the same mindset that Christ displayed, one of selflessness and servitude. It beautifully narrates how Jesus, despite being in the form of God, chose to take on the nature of a servant and was obedient to the point of death on a cross. This self-emptying love culminated in His exaltation, as God bestowed upon Him the highest name, reminding us that true greatness comes through humility and sacrifice.
In the context of our Day Four Novena for the repose of the soul of Charlie Kirk, we see a striking parallel. Charlie lived his life boldly, unafraid to confess Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in every aspect of his journey. His commitment to faith was unwavering, illuminating the impact that a life anchored in Christ can have on those around us. By embodying the spirit of Philippians 2:5-11, he showed us what it means to live authentically and courageously as followers of Christ.
As we reflect on this scripture, we are reminded of the call to be fearless in our faith. Like Charlie, we are encouraged to embrace humility and to serve others, knowing that our actions reflect Christ’s love. In a world that often promotes self-interest, let us choose to live unafraid, sharing the hope and truth found in Jesus. May our lives, like Charlie’s, exemplify the heart of the Gospel, bringing light and inspiration to all we encounter. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray.
Amen.

**Every Tongue Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord**
In humble heart, where love abounds,
A servant’s grace in silence found,
Though equal to the throne above,
He chose the path of selfless love.
With every step, the world He’d gain,
He bore our sorrows, felt our pain,
In human form, He walked our way,
Became the light, our guiding day.
Obedient to the Father’s will,
He faced the cross, our hearts to fill,
In sacrifice, all burdens laid,
A perfect love in blood displayed.
Now every knee shall bow in awe,
And every tongue confess His call,
That Jesus Christ, the Holy Name,
Is Lord of all, the eternal flame.
So let us strive to bear His mind,
With courage firm and heart aligned,
Live boldly forth, His grace to share,
Reflect His light, unyielding, rare. Amen.
