1st Letter to Timothy Chapter 2 Verse 1 thru 8

1 First of all, then, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings be offered for everyone, 2 for kings and for all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity. 3 This is good and pleasing to God our savior, 4 who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God. There is also one mediator between God and the human race, Christ Jesus, himself human, 6 who gave himself as ransom for all. This was the testimony at the proper time. 7 For this I was appointed preacher and apostle (I am speaking the truth, I am not lying), teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8 It is my wish, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument.

As we enter Day Five of our Novena for the repose of the soul of Charlie Kirk, we turn our hearts to the words of 1 Timothy 2:1-8, a powerful reminder of our call to prayer, intercession, and unity in the faith. The Apostle Paul urges believers to offer prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings for everyone, especially for those in authority. In this pivotal passage, we are reminded that our spiritual practice should encompass all people, including those who have caused pain and suffering.

In light of our intentions, we also bring before God the soul of the shooter, asking for a miraculous conversion of heart. May he encounter the profound grace of Jesus Christ and experience true repentance, which is the longing of Charlie's heart. Charlie, known for advocating for the truth and the love of Christ, would undoubtedly desire that all souls, even those who have erred gravely, find redemption and healing.

Praying for the souls of both Charlie and the shooter leaves us with a profound reflection on the transformative power of God's love. In Christ, there is a path to forgiveness, and our prayers can be a bridge toward understanding, mercy, and grace. As we petition God, let us hold tightly to the hope that all humanity may come to the knowledge of the Truth in Christ Jesus.

On this solemn day of prayer, let us lift our voices in unity, asking the Lord to guide our hearts toward compassion and understanding. May our prayers contribute to the healing of our world and reveal the unending love that God offers to all. Amen.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray.

**Pleasing to God our Savior**

In quiet corners, hearts we raise,

With prayers of hope, our voices blaze,

For all of earth, both near and far,

In unity, we seek the Morning Star.

For leaders bold, for wisdom’s grace,

We plead for peace in every place,

With hands lifted, spirits strong,

In fervent prayer, we find our song.

For souls entwined in darkness deep,

We ask for light, for love to sweep,

To soften hearts that turned away,

In mercy’s arms, let them be swayed.

Oh, let our prayers ascend like dew,

For every soul, both old and new,

For Charlie’s heart, and those who stray,

To seek the Truth and find the Way.

In Christ, we gather, one and all,

To heed and beckon, to every soul call,

May redemption reign, and burdens cease,

In prayerful hope, they find our peace. Amen.
