The Letter to the Colossians Chapter 1 Verses 15 thru 23

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For in him were created all things in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things were created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he himself might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross [through him], whether those on earth or those in heaven. 21 And you who once were alienated and hostile in mind because of evil deeds 22 he has now reconciled in his fleshly body through his death, to present you holy, without blemish, and irreproachable before him, 23 provided that you persevere in the faith, firmly grounded, stable, and not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, am a minister.

Colossians 1:15-23 is a profound passage that unveils the majesty of Christ and the depth of His redemptive work. In these verses, Paul emphasizes that Jesus is the image of the invisible God and the firstborn over all creation. This declaration highlights Christ's preeminence and divine authority. Through Him, all things were created; both visible and invisible, everything finds its purpose in Christ.

Paul continues to describe how Christ's work on the cross reconciles humanity to God. By His blood shed on the cross, believers are offered the incredible gift of forgiveness from all sins. This is not merely a theoretical forgiveness; it is a real and transformative act that enables us to stand holy and blameless before a righteous God. The consequences of sin—separation from God—are replaced with the joyful assurance of belonging to Him.

Reconciliation through Christ is available to all who believe. When we place our faith in Him, we are no longer alienated or hostile in our minds. Instead, we enter into a renewed relationship with our Creator. This call to faith is central to the message of the Gospel. It assures us that no matter our past or the weight of our transgressions, His grace is sufficient.

In verses 21-23, Paul encourages believers to remain steadfast in their faith, grounded and firm, so that they do not drift from the hope we have in the Gospel. Our reconciliation is a continual journey of faith; as we trust Him, we experience the fullness of His love and grace.

Therefore, dear readers, remember: if you believe in Christ, you are reconciled and forgiven, through His blood on the cross. Embrace this truth and let it transform your life forever. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

09-05-2025 Colossians 1 v1523

**Making Peace by the Blood of His Cross**

In Him, the image bright of God,

The firstborn over all,

From dust to stars, all things He trod,

Creation’s voice, His eternal call.

Through Him, the cosmos finds its place,

In realms both seen and veiled,

Each atom sings of boundless grace,

In unity completely unveiled.

He is the head, the Church’s light,

In Him, our hearts forever unite,

By blood He brought us from the night,

A hope that shines so forever bright.

Through every sin, through every grave,

He bore our burdens wide,

In love, His life, a gift to save,

All wrongs are now denied.

Reconciled, we stand in holy peace,

No longer lost or flawed,

In Christ, our chains of guilt release,

Through mercy’s love of God.

So let us hold our faith with zeal,

Firm, rooted in His grace,

For through His blood, we are made real,

Eternity we are allowed to embrace. Amen.
