The Letter to the Hebrews Chapter 13 V- 1 and 8
1 Let mutual love continue. 2 Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels. 3 Be mindful of prisoners as if sharing their imprisonment, and of the ill-treated as of yourselves, for you also are in the body. 4 Let marriage be honored among all and the marriage bed be kept undefiled, for God will judge the immoral and adulterers. 5 Let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.” 6 Thus we may say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper, [and] I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” 7 Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:1-8 offers profound wisdom on the essence of Christian living, emphasizing the importance of mutual love and humility. The passage begins with a simple yet powerful exhortation: "Let mutual love continue." This reminder underscores that love should be an enduring commitment, marked by kindness and compassion toward one another. In a world often filled with discord, our ability to maintain persistent love can serve as a beacon of hope and unity.
The verses encourage us to express our love through actions, highlighting the significance of hospitality and support for those in need, including strangers and prisoners. This call to empathy reflects the heart of Christ's teachings—an invitation to engage with the world around us and to bear witness to our faith through our deeds. A kind and humble spirit enables us to listen and respond to the needs of others, fostering a community built on trust and understanding.
Moreover, the passage reminds us that true love is not boastful or self-serving. Instead, it invites us to remain quiet and patient when necessary, allowing God's truth to shine through our actions rather than our words. This humility is a testament to our faith, as it acknowledges that our strength lies not in our own abilities but in our reliance on God's grace.
Finally, the call to remember that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever anchors our understanding of love in the unchanging nature of God. As we strive to embody this mutual love, let us do so with a spirit of humility and a readiness to bear witness when called upon. In this way, we reflect the heart of Christ and cultivate a community that honors Him. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. The Soul of my sister-in-law Carmen. Death Uncle Donald. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**The Lord is MY Helper I Will Not Be Afraid**
Let love abide, a gentle thread,
In every heart, where kindness spreads.
With open arms, we welcome all,
In faithful grace, we heed the call.
To strangers lost, extend a hand,
In humble hearts, together stand.
For in each soul, a story lies,
A tapestry of love that forever ties.
In quiet strength, we find our way,
With patient hearts, we learn to stay.
When called to witness, truth we share,
In love’s embrace, we find our care.
For Christ remains, unchanged, and true,
In Him, our strength, in all we do.
So let us live with hearts aligned,
In mutual love, our souls refined. Amen.
