The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 13 Verse 26 thru 33
26 “My brothers, children of the family of Abraham, and those others among you who are God-fearing, to us this word of salvation has been sent. 27 The inhabitants of Jerusalem and their leaders failed to recognize him, and by condemning him they fulfilled the oracles of the prophets that are read sabbath after sabbath. 28 For even though they found no grounds for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him put to death, 29 and when they had accomplished all that was written about him, they took him down from the tree and placed him in a tomb. 30 But God raised him from the dead, 31 and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. These are [now] his witnesses before the people. 32 We ourselves are proclaiming this good news to you that what God promised our ancestors 33 he has brought to fulfillment for us, (their) children, by raising up Jesus, as it is written in the second psalm, ‘You are my son; this day I have begotten you.’
Acts 13:26-33 presents a powerful proclamation of the gospel, delivering a crucial message about the fulfillment of God's promises through Jesus Christ. In these verses, the Apostle Paul addresses a diverse audience, emphasizing that the good news of salvation is meant for all humanity. As he recounts the history of Israel, he stresses that God's plan, long foretold by the prophets, has culminated in the resurrection of Jesus. This monumental event is not just a miraculous occurrence; it represents the ultimate fulfillment of God's promises to His people.
Paul articulates that those who believe in Jesus are recipients of this good news—salvation that is offered freely to everyone who comes to faith. The resurrection is a pivotal moment: it transforms despair into hope, death into life, and separation from God into communion with Him. Paul’s message is both a reminder and a call to action, urging the listeners to recognize and embrace this divine gift.
As modern-day believers, we too are charged with the profound responsibility of proclaiming this good news. Each of us, regardless of our background or circumstances, carries the same message that Paul delivered: that Jesus has risen and, through Him, we find our hope and salvation. Our lives reflect the fulfillment of God's promises, and we are called to share this message with a world that desperately needs to hear it.
Let us boldly declare that Jesus Christ has conquered the grave, inviting others to experience the transformative power of His resurrection. Together, we join in the communion of saints, committed to sharing the hope that has been revealed to us: God's promise is for everyone, and it has been perfectly fulfilled in Christ. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Day Six for Marco’s business. Novena Day Two for Ivanna Barrios for cancer. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**We Ourselves Are Proclaiming This Good News**
In Antioch’s embrace, a tale unfolds,
Where grace and truth in whispers bold,
A gathering of hearts, both young and old,
The promise of the ages begins to be told.
“Men of Israel,” the voice rang clear,
“Children of promise, come draw near,
The word of salvation has come to your door,
In the lineage of David, behold, there’s more.”
From the shadows of history, the story flows,
Of Jesus, the Savior, whom the world now knows.
Crucified by hands, in ignorance they laid,
Yet in this dark hour, divine plans were portrayed.
“God raised Him up,” the proclamation resounds,
Breaking the silence, where hope abounds.
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not bind,
A new covenant born, for all humankind.
Witnesses carry this message on high,
To hearts that are weary, to souls that can sigh,
“For He has fulfilled what the prophets foretold,
A son, a king, in glory behold.”
In these verses of Acts, a promise reigns true,
A story of love that’s ever anew.
To all who believe, this joy we impart,
For in Christ’s resurrection, we find our new heart. Amen.
